ANIMALIZE HISTORY

ANIMALIZE COLLECTION 2016

It is my mission to be the voice of these living creatures, consistently highlighting issues surrounding the human impact on biodiversity both on and offline. Using my paintbrush as an act of silent activism, I paint animals facing straight forward, allowing the viewer to experience an intimate gaze into the animal's soul. The intention of my art is to reconnect people with nature by revitalizing a love for wildlife in their hearts. My animalized paintings is a reminder of nature's bountiful beauty and how our actions affect the environment and wildlife. Through the connection one feels when gazing into the animal's eyes, I encourage the viewer to recognize their individual impact on wildlife, inspiring each person to deeply consider their current practices and assess how they may be affecting our environment.

CANADIAN ANIMALIZE 2018

The intention behind The Animalize Project is to reconnect people with nature and wildlife. Our urban-focused lifestyles have caused us to lose touch with the natural world, leading to a lack of awareness about how our actions impact the environment and wildlife. Animalize reminds viewers of nature’s beauty, presence, and need for care. Currently, 711 species in Canada face the risk of extinction, primarily due to habitat destruction from urbanization, agriculture, commercial timber harvesting, hunting, fishing, and pollution of lakes and rivers. My goal is to rekindle Canada’s love for wildlife. Through the connections people feel when gazing into the animals’ eyes, I aim to awaken the audience to their impact on animals. I hope to inspire individuals to reflect on their practices and consider how they affect the environment and wildlife. With my paintbrushes, I paint colors of awareness and consideration for Canadian wildlife.

ANIMALIZE WORLD MURAL TOUR 2019-2020

Animalize travling the world... It is my mission to be the voice of these living creatures, consistently highlighting issues surrounding the human impact on biodiversity both on and offline. ANIMALIZE PRIMATES 2019-2020

Animalize Primates is an art collection where I aim to create a profound connection between humanity and wildlife. Primates, being our closest relatives, offer a unique and relatable perspective. In this series, I capture the essence of these incredible creatures, inviting viewers to gaze into their eyes and discover an innate connection. Through this intimate interaction, I hope to foster a deeper appreciation for our shared origins and the natural world.

Exploring a new medium, oil on canvas, I bring these primates to life with vivid detail and emotional depth. Each piece in the collection reflects my dedication to capturing the soul and spirit of our closest animal kin.

ANIMALIZE HAND PAINTED COLLECTION 2021

When the pandemic started, I was in the middle of my world mural tour and had to return to Los Angeles. I needed to find a different way to bring animals back to the city streets and remind people of their existence. That’s when the idea of the jackets began. I started finding vintage jackets and painting on them.

ANIMALIZE JJ CAPSULE COLLECTION 2022

These jackets feature my favorite Animalize paintings, reproduced with exceptional detail to ensure the colors are true. Each denim jacket is then hand-embellished and painted, infused with love and a personal touch.

When each order comes in, we get so excited! The most important part of this whole process is that we get to adopt an animal in the name of the person purchasing the jacket. This adoption provides care and protection for that specific animal for an entire year.

I believe that if we stop, listen, observe, and do good to others, we will feel fulfilled. Art makes us stop, it makes us listen. It starts a conversation for a better future. That’s what these jackets are all about.

Ethereal Animalize was the introduction of my spiritual side that I had been hiding away for a while. Then, one day after a long and profound meditation, I returned to the studio and outlined the third eye on each of the two paintings that were in my studio. From that moment on, my spiritual journey began, starting with more than 100 days of silence.
